Registration of Ugandan Diaspora for National Identity Cards.

As you may be aware, the Government of Uganda started the exercise for mass registration of Ugandan citizens for issuance of National Identity Cards on 14th April 2014, countryside.   One of the most critical objectives of the exercise is to establish the true identities of people so as to compile a National Citizenship Register.  This is possible if people’s citizenships are verified, and this is best done at one’s place of origin.  This is why government set up Citizenship Verification Committee at parish level and at sub county level to have a fair knowledge of one’s true identity and citizenship.

The registration phases are:

  1. The first phase of mass registration is currently taking place at the Parish level during the period of April to August 2014, and

  1. The second phase will be at Sub-county level during the period of September 2014 to February 2015.

As and when any Ugandan nationals living abroad travel back to Uganda, they are encouraged and expected to report to any registration centre where they were born or reside for registration.

The National Identity Card will be a highly valued document that will be key to all services by the public such as banks, issuance and renewal of passports et-al.

The United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has confirmed that Uganda on 3th November 2013 will experience a total eclipse. This is the time when the spectacular total eclipse will descend on Uganda specifically best viewed from Masindi and West Nile (including Kidepo National Park)

As a result of this event, Uganda will be an exciting part of Astrological history because the country lies on the path of a Hybrid Solar Eclipse.  Note that a total eclipse occurs when the dark silhouette of the moon completely obscures the intensely bright light of the sun, allowing the much fainter solar corona to be visible. During the maximum phase of a total   eclipse, the sun‘s disk is completely blocked.  In this case, Uganda is experiencing this maximum phase.

Available reports indicate that over 100 tourists from Germany alone have confirmed booking, and another 200 tourists from other countries have confirmed bookings too. Help transmit this right information to all prospecting tourists and those interested in astrology.

It is equally important to note that Uganda has been named one of the "Best of the World Our 20 MUST see Places for 2013" by the National Geographic Traveler December 2012 and  this was proceeded by  Uganda being named ” Best Tourist Destination 2012.” by Lonely Planet. This also comes at a time when Stephen Kiprotich a  Ugandan prisons officer,  made history again to be the second human being to win both the Olympic and marathon titles( London 2012 and Moscow 2013 respectively.

Let all the World come to  UGANDA A UNIQUE TOURIST DESTINATION  referred to as the “Pearl of Africa”  by the famous British Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill 1908 in his book titled  “My African Journey” where Sir Winston Churchill writes   My counsel plainly is – concentrate upon Uganda! Nowhere else in Africa will little money go so far?   Nowhere else will results be more brilliant, more substantial or more rapidly realized.   “Uganda is from end to end a „beautiful garden‟ where „staple food‟ of the people grows almost without labour. Does it not sound like a Paradise on earth?” It is the Pearl of Africa.

To ourpotential tourists and those interested in astrology, this is the right opportune time to come to come and experiences it yourself.

August 17, 2013: Kiprotich wins Gold at IAAF World Championship in Moscow.

On Saturday August 17, 2013, Stephen Kiprotich once again put Uganda on the world map after winning a gold medal in a 42km race at the IAAF World Championship in Moscow. He now becomes the first Ugandan athlete to win gold at both the Olympic and World Championships, and second athlete in the world after Ethiopian Haile Gebreselassie. Before Saturday, Kiprotich, a gold medalist at the 2012 London Olympics, was at par with 1972 Olympic 400 meter hurdles champion John Akii-Bua in terms of medals won.

In the Moscow marathon, he managed to shake off his closet challengers-the Ethiopians to victory at 2:09:51 in fashion as he looked stronger to carry on after crossing the finish line. The Ethiopian Silver and bronze medalists Lelisa Desisa (2:10:12) and Tadese Tola (2:10:23), respectively were fast to admit that Stephen Kiprotich proved too strong for them to keep up with in the final minutes of the race.
